Shoulder/Core Strengthening and Rehab Program
Tim Drew, along with his former Atlanta Braves pitching coach, Leo Mazzone, partner to work with some of the pitchers that come through the clinic for strengthening and rehabilitation.
Our Shoulder Strengthening and Rehabilitation Program
Timothy Drew, DPT was drafted in the 1st round of MLB draft in 1997 as a right-handed pitcher. He played professionally for 12 years until he was injured during the 2005 season. After attempting to rehab his shoulder for two years following surgery, he realized that he would no longer be able to compete at the same level. With his experiences as both athlete and patient, he decided to pursue his doctorate in physical therapy. He joined Upstate Physical Therapy in September 2015.
Along with Upstate Physical Therapy, he has developed a shoulder strengthening and rehabilitation program to develop the overhead athlete.
During the first session, Tim will evaluate the athlete to determine if there are issues that would increase the probability of injury. A personal program will then be designed to both reduce the risk of injury and enhance performance on the field. Our goal is to develop and strengthen the athlete to allow the athlete to meet his or her maximum performance potential.
